The Campaign
SIDEKICKS will be played using Hero System 6th Edition rules. If you are one of those people who MUST have a copy of whatever rule book is being used, I recommend using "Champions Complete". (The Regular 6th edition Hero System book is much larger, two volumes, and full of information for all manner of Hero System settings, not just champions, whereas Champions Complete covers what we need.)

What you need at each game:
Maybe 2-3xp per scenario. A scenario is likely to be a fight coupled with some ramp-up to the fight. I may withhold XP if I feel there's something that needs to be resolved first.
I will allow XP to be expended between fights. If you're investigating a warehouse and decide to pick the lock rather than knock down the door and you want to spend 3 pts on Lockpicking right then and there, I'm okay with that. Just don't expect to reallocate those points immediately after you've done it. Ya makes yer bed, ya lie in it.
That said, if there's a problem with your original character as designed, I'm up for reworking it with you. but yer likely going to be keeping that lockpicking skill, god-learner.
Unlike the 5th city campaign, not everything is related. I got a little whacky with that campaign in that even things that didn't seem to be related actually were related, you just had to come across how. It's that level of minutiae that keeps me up at nights. I'd rather sleep. If two things are connected, they just happen to be connected.
